Handspun scarf

New sandals

Summer nails

Cookies before

Cookies after

I’m still enjoying my new camera, and some other new things. I just finished a scarf from some of Sarah‘s beautiful handspun. It’s just plain 2-2 rib, but the yarn makes even the simplest stitch pattern beautiful. I just hope I’ll have the chance to wear it gets too warm.  Mostly, though I’ve been starting to get ready for summer. I’ve got a new pair of sandals from the Swedish Hasbeens sale and gave myself a nice summer pedicure. Today, I also made chocolate chip cookies for my last day at work, using this recipe that I’ve been dying to try. I can’t bring myself to make 5-inch cookies, but they taste pretty great anyway.

Things are starting to get pretty busy around here. James and I are off on a two-week trip to the US on Thursday and when we get back, I’m starting a new job. I can’t wait to try the 7D out on some more interesting subjects than my loungeroom and backyard. Not that those cookies don’t make my mouth water.

I love 2-2 rib scarf with nice yarns! Oh, and I so envy you that summer is arriving your way… Here, we had a wonderful Sept. 2nd but these will become less and less common and days are getting so short… Have a nice trip in the US and best of success for your new job!

Jättefina träskor ! Väldigt svenskt, din pappa bodde i träskor, svarta… när jag träffade honom. Sommar, som vinter ! Kram

This scarf looks GREAT! It’s the perfect combo of rustic/handspun but not too homemadey-looking, if that makes sense. LOVE.
