Christmas in Geelong

James and I spent Christmas with his family in Geelong this year. Not only was this the first Christmas without my family, but it was also my first Christmas stocking, my first time opening presents on Christmas Day, my first turkey Christmas dinner and my first Christmas pudding. I drank fancy Champagne and painted my nails with glittery polish for the occasion. I also managed to  put a Swedish spin on things, with plenty of Swedish Christmas food though, including the salmon, homemade bread, Swedish meatballs and ribs, most of which we ate for lunch for Christmas Day. And I watched Kalle Anka all by myself. It wasn’t a bad experience by any means, but I hope I can do it the “normal” way next year. Next up: planning for New Years (and my birthday!)

Very nice pictures! That salmon sure looks delicious! Happy Holidays!

Oh nice crazy Xmas polish! I went for a reverse french/ half-moon manicure with red half-moons and insanely rich gold for the rest of the nail (I couldn’t decide if it looked completely awesome, or like my nail beds were bleeding… oops!). My toes were alternating red and green glitter. I love terribly, borderline-trashy nails for special occasions.
