Knitty Twist

So, it’s the final day of Socktoberfest, and I have a final pair of September socks to report on. I’ve got lots of plans for November, including the October sock round-up and NaKniSweMo.

Knitty Twist Sock by Ceylan Gul knit with Handmaiden Cashbah in Cedar {More}

These socks were designed by my good friend Ceylan, and when she asked for test-knitters I was quick to volunteer. It’s a really clever pattern. I love the fact that the lattice pattern isn’t an all-over pattern, particularly the neat Vs along the back of the leg (which aren’t very noticable in my pics).

The yarn is Handmaiden Casbah, which I think is really one of my new favourite sock yarns. I think some of the detail on the pattern gets lost in the dark green, but I still love the combination of yarn and pattern. And the yarn is so soft and cushy, and knits up just beautifully.

The pattern is available for free on Ravelry, so if you haven’t already, go queue it up!

These are gorgeous! And thank you for posting about this pattern, I had never seen it before and now it’s on my queue! I also have some Cashbah in the stash . . .

Wonderful. Your finished socks always make me wish that I had the concentration to make something other than plain ole stockinette ones.
