Evie reimagined

As some people guessed from my Monday post, I’m knitting my mum a red sweater for Christmas. I had so much fun coming up with an imaginary outfit for Novak, and I thought I’d do it again for this sweater. The pattern is Kim Hargreaves’s Evie, and I’m using Rowan Cashcotton 4 ply in Red Hot. Of course, I won’t be keeping this sweater, but if I did keep it, this is how I’d wear it. Like most of my outfits, this one is very simple. I’d pair the bright red cardigan with a gorgeous black-and-white Mociun dress, black tights and black oxfords.

Ooh, I’m glad you decided to go with the red! It’ll look uber-cute. And I love those little black shoes!

Also, it’s interesting that the original Evie model is wearing regular-length socks with heels. I would never think to do that, but she’s pulling it off okay. Hmm.

I love those shoes – I’ve got my eyes on a similar pair which were available from Topshop for a while, but I stupidly missed the boat and am now going to have to get involved in ebay bidding wars, they’re selling for more than the retail price too – pah!
I love that Mociun dress – and indeed the one on the original KH model, too…
