After the great response I got to Cecilia, I knew I had to put some more of my design ideas into reality. The result is Emelie.
This is actually old news by now, but I thought it deserved its own blog post. I was planning to publish the pattern in late July, but unfortunately, life got in the way. I started working full-time only a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been spending every free moment obsessing over an epic birthday project. Since I want to make sure the pattern is the best it can be, I’ve decided to delay publication until next month. The pattern will now be available for download by mid to late August.
So consider this a sneak peek.
Emelie is a fitted cardigan with a simple lace panel running down the front. It is knit in one piece from the bottom up, with seamless 3/4-length sleeves knit from the top down. The pattern will be available in 12 sizes, with bust measurements from 27″ to 64″. To achieve perfect fit, there is also the choice of three different body lengths for each size. I’ve knit the shortest length, but you can see the other versions in action by browsing my test knitters’ gorgeous versions on Ravelry.
For now, you can queue Emelie on Ravelry here. More details will be available soon!
